As posted on Facebook it was announced that the new owners will be taking over Bounce Radio Lindsay on May 5th and one can only assume they will take over Pure and Move Peterborough at the same time. The new owners are Durham Radio and it is rumored they will bring the Rock and KX brands to Peterborough but the most interesting rumor is the revitalization of the BOB brand to Lindsay. Obviously nothing is confirmed yet and we just have to wait for the morning to hear the announcements.

KX105's website is already up. Looks like they are keeping the same people, but the 10-2 show will be the same from KX96. News team looks like the same from Hamilton/Oshawa.

...and CKLY will be "Y91.9", continuing the station's classic hits format of twenty years. Returning to the big old house at 249 Kent Street West is Dave Illman, who Bell tossed from 'LY a few years back. Worth noting is that Peterborough's 105.1 has been a country outlet since 1983.

Yes it is great-sadly the audio quality of the online stream is pretty poor. Hopefully they will improve it!

There are 2 former hosts from the Rock 94.9, Matt Holtby and Vanessa as well. They should do well, good format and solid hosts.

Lets hope they did not forget that they are taking over radio stations.

Durham Radio used to be a neat electronics shop in Whitby. Sadly, it folded.

I remember them! I ordered a number of Sangean portable radios from them and they always had the best price. I recall going back to try to find them, only to discover to my deep disappointment that they were gone. A great store in their day.
