Radio stations ready eclipse playlists

"Anyone who works at a radio station has certainly been compiling a list of songs for Aug. 21, the day of the eclipse."

Really? I wonder if any music station here is planning something. I sense an AM740 Saturday Night Bandstand theme.

Re: Radio stations ready eclipse playlists

HEY g.cheese, do you anticipate receiving a thank you note from neil hedley and robin lane for helping them out?

Of course you know them; they work with Norm Edwards & Ben Mercer on "Face the Music", Thur & Fridays.      An AM-740 coffee mug is up for grabs.    Is kind of like the $64,000 Question, but without a stuffy isolation booth

Here's one that contains both, followed by another for CanCon needs.

Re: Radio stations ready eclipse playlists

Sure enough, as predicted, this was the theme on AM740's Bandstand show Saturday night.

Re: Radio stations ready eclipse playlists

Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon would cover the deal for 40+ minutes

Re: Radio stations ready eclipse playlists

Can't believe that someone hasn't posted Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun", and there's also "Total Eclipse" from the Alan Parsons Project album 'I Robot'....which is one of the more unappreciated albums out there.

FYI: boom 973 has been doing a Solar Eclipse Soundtrack since 1pm and will continue to go to 3:30. Pink Floyd, Bonnie Tyler, etc. On right now.

We need a music video with Frank D'Angelo singing "You're So Vain" and winking at the camera..wonder if anyone ever actually went up to Nova Scotia, to see the total eclipse of the sun....?
