I happened upon the Sitcom, News Radio, yesterday afternoon and when the credits were rolling I noticed a name pop out. That name was none other than Joe Rogan, who had an ensemble role in the show.
Of course, the late Phil Hartman, Dave Foley, Andy Dick (who has a past, which has had him go for therapy for drug, alcohol and sexual mis-conduct treatments) and Maura Tierney who you might know from Law and Order (the NYC version).
I just found it fascinating the Rogan, got his start acting and in comedy. His career now spans more then 27+ years.
I am filing this under "Who knew"?

NewsRadio also starred Stephen Root, who has appeared in many other TV shows since then. He also voiced Bill Dauterive in King of the Hill, among other voice roles.
I watched NewsRadio when it first aired and have since been dumbfounded that Rogan, who was a mediocre actor at best, has gone on to become such a darling of the right-wing media ecosystem.

Ray Romano said on The Rich Eisen Show that he was originally cast on News Radio, but after one rehearsal, was replaced by Joe Rogan. I don't know if it was the same character they were both meant to play.

Stephen Root is one of the industry's most versatile character actors in my opinion.

Agreed. Very often appears under makeup, characters, or costuming that makes him hard to spot.

Also disguised very well as the Klingon Captain K'Vada, who gets Data and Picard to Romulus, in the fifth season TNG story 'Unification'.
