iHeart has introduced its latest online station dedicated to just one artist - Elton John. The streamer came online Friday and is exactly what is advertised - all Rocket Man, all the time. It promises hits, deep cuts and other artists doing Elton tunes. Hear it here.

It follows the same broadcaster's recent introduction of all Bryan Adams radio, in which the Canadian artist not only features his own tunes but songs by others he admires. 

All of which got me to wondering - this kind of thing is becoming more prominent online. But how many artists past or present could possibly be the subject of their own output without getting hopelessly repetitive? I can only think of a few that might fit the category - The Beatles and The Rolling Stones are the two most obvious. They've built up a huge catalogue of hits and other material over the years that could ensure you don't hear the same song over and over and over. Maybe Bob Dylan?

Elton John fits because he's been around since the 70s and hasn't stopped making hit music since. Here's how iHeart sells it:

"Our new exclusive streaming station, “Elton John Radio” features all of Elton John’s biggest hits, including live songs and deep cuts from each of his landmark albums!"

But other than that small list above, I can't really think of anyone who could sustain such a station without repeating too much of the same material. Anyone else come to mind who could pull this off without ending up too much on repeat?

iHeartRadio & Elton John Team Up For Exclusive New Project
