Ian Scott replaces J.P. Blais, who at least tried to turn the CRTC more consumer friendly, but was mostly defeated by the machinations of the Bells and Rogers of the world. (Remember the $25 basic package that contained no channels anyone wanted and upped the fees for renting the box?)
Scott ran Telesat and was once with Telus and many are wondering whose side he'll be on when consumer push comes to business shove.
