In the last couple of days I have heard a commercial/promo encouraging us to buy Canadian, keep our money in Canada and (hopefully!) keep Canada. The thing that strikes me about this spot is that there is no mention of who is promoting/sponsoring this, which is unusual. Has anyone else noticed this?

Heard this spot on Classical 96.3.
My conclusion was that it likely originates from the station owner - who else can do such a thing without attribution?

Just heard it on CFRB, which means someone other than the station is behind it. Still no attribution, unless this is considered a PSA. But either way, they really should ID themselves.

What a terrific idea. Talk about using your power for good.
Not surprised Terry O'Reilly is one of the people listed as a founder. And I always thought Mike Tennant added a distinctive and clever touch to the content and writing style of the first couple of Age of Persuasion seasons (the precursor to Under the Influence) and was sorry he left the show.
Excellent detective work RadioAaron.
It's a super PSA and not naming any organization could create interest in the group behind the message.
Their Feed Ontario PSA is actually on playing on my radio at the moment. And I'd bet they also did the spot with all the clock radio alarms going off for the United Way I believe. It had the same structure with get your attention sound effects and angle of approach.

Excellent work RadioAaron! I think this is such a good idea on a couple of levels, whereas it encourages Canadians to buy Canadian plus it will let our southern listeners know that we mean business, bigly! (Couldn’t resist!)
