Hello.
Havent heard any word about when whiteoaks will take over its new stations.
When do you think they will?
And do you think they will change some formats on the fm side?
For sure HTZ FM will stay the same.
But if bounce and move change, what do you think the new formats will be?
Cant whate to hear what happens.

It would be a very bad idea to change any of the formats.

I hope 97.7 will stay with it's Active Rock format. My dad listens to 97.7 at work on his phone. But for 102.9 and 105.7 my 2 guesses are:
#1 Stay with the current formats but change the branding names because "Bounce" and "Move" are used by Bell Media/iHeartRadio Canada. But what names for 102.9 and 105.7 would you want to see?
#2 Change 102.9 back to an AC station unless Corus sells it's Hamilton cluster and 95.3 switches back to it's classic hits format. But we will have to wait and see if Corus might do that.
Other then that we will have to wait and see what happens.

Maybe for bounce, Ed fm, Andy fm The hammer or Hits fm.
For move, Mix fm, Light fm, They have a christian radio station named joy but they could call joy radio faithstrong and call move joy fm.

Mix FM would be a great branding for 105.7. Remember CKFM 99.9 Mix FM before it changed to Virgin many years ago? I hope they use it.
For 102.9 Andy FM is not a bad idea but will the BOB FM branding return? Maybe not but we will see.

Andy fm is not used anywhare I know of, And mix fm will bring some people back to the days of 99.9 mix fm.
Another idea that's more niagara 2000s nostalgia is wild 105.7.
Also for bounce, Ted fm, Nick fm, And maybe a womans name if they play 90s and 00s music, amanda fm, nelly fm or amy fm.
I forgot to mention, durham might use the bob fm when they takeover 91.9

And the whating begins.
Hope it does not take years and years for whiteoaks to take over.
The CKOC relaunch was not very exiting.

I'm guessing that some or all of the religious/ethnic programming currently on their Oakville AM stations will end up on the new FM stations. The AM transmitter site is on Dundas St. near the border between Oakville and Mississauga, a prime urban development area. I imagine they will be shutting down the AMs and selling the land to finance the purchase of the FMs.

They've talked about putting those on the FMs' HDs. They won't put them on the main signal.
