After all is said and done, more is usually said than done.

Illinois Speed Press - Free Ride - in 1969.
Anybody remember that one?
I bought it specifically for the cut P.N.S. (When you come around)

Without giving my age away, my first 45 was Elvis's Hound Dog in 1956.

I remember hearing the Illinois Speed Press on CHUM FM in the early 70's. I became more familiar with the name when Paul Cotton  from the group joined Poco. His best known early recording with Poco was Bad Weather which was originally recorded by the Speed Press.

Don't remember my first album. Might have been Sunflower by The Beach Boys or Odyssey and Oracle by the Zombies. Other early albums were American Beauty by the Grateful Dead and Ballad of Easy Rider by the Byrds. Also Dear Eloise/King Midas In Reverse by the Hollies and the first album by Crosby Stills and Nash. Have held on to all of them.
