The west coast host already fronts Cross Country Check-up on CBC Radio 1 and anchors the Sunday edition of The National.
And now he's adding to his duties, taking up another Canada-wide broadcast called "Hanomansing Tonight." It will air for two hours every weeknight, from 7-9 PM, on CBC News Network starting next Tuesday.
Given everything he's already got going, and will only get one day off a week, you wonder how he's going to fit it all in.

What happens to Dwight Drummond?

Good for Ian Hanomansing, and great to have output on CBCNN come from somewhere other than Toronto and Ottawa. He used to have a couple of hours in primetime on CBC News Network from Vancouver before the last revamp of The National.

Ian's delivery is top drawer. Quite the professional.

Does anyone know what happened with Canada Tonight host Travis Dhanraj that prompted him to disappear a couple months back and now the Canada Tonight slot disappearing altogether? Saw some chatter elsewhere that he had made some kind of a comment on air about Canada being too new of a country or something.

Last time I saw him he was anchoring newscasts on the CBC News Toronto streaming channel.
EDIT: His bio on CBC's website confirms that he's moved on from those shows to hosting on the streaming channel.

Ian is one of the best. I will be tuning in. Ian is good not only with hard news but is equally comfortable interviewing entertainment personalities and artists.

So basically Ian is getting his old show back that ran for five years before the failed four-anchor experiment for The National back in November 2017. Good for him.
It's now longer too, because I think the old show was only one hour long.
