I had TWO TVs on for the game. I was able to watch both the American and Canadian channels, thanks to the internet.
I do wonder why Subway sub wastes so much money on the Canadian side telling people the same crap we all already know. Yeah Yeah, you have 6 inch subs starting at $4.99
Good for you!!! So what? WHO CARES??? Tell us something NEW please!!
It's the Superbowl. A large audience is there. THAT was your perfect opportunity to promote a brand new sub and draw a lot of attention. YOU BLEW IT!!!
Instead, it's the same crap message over and over that six inch subs start at $4.99.
WHO CARES?????
Bye now...I'm off to Firehouse sub...or Belly Buster sub.
The American commercials were great!! The ad for the new Lava Reese's Big cup was amazing.
Eugine Levy losing his eyebrows in the Little Caesar's ad was kinda stupid though.
I will still consider visiting a Little Caesar's some time soon to try their new Bacon and cheese Crazy Puffs, so yeah, the ad DID work...

Some thoughts on yesterday's game...
I thought the opening segment with Lady Gaga and the tribute to the people killed in the car attack in New Orleans was well staged and thoughtful. Tom Cruise's cameo during the team introductions was underwhelming at best. The singing of America the Beautiful and the U.S. national anthem by local New Orleans artists were dignified and a lot less hawkish than I've seen at previous Super Bowls.
As far as the game itself, it was clear that Fox broadcast team was cheering on the Chiefs in the early going, but was forced to switch tone as the Eagles racked up the points. Tom Brady surprised me as the colour commentator, offering some good insights on some early penalties and generally providing solid information on what strategies both teams were employing. If he can learn to use the Telestrator properly and curb his tendency to talk too much, he could be a good analyst. As usual, Fox's halftime panel of experts featured too many guys all fighting to say something relevant and rapid while they waited for the Kendrick Lamar show to start. About that display, all I can say is "meh", but I'm clearly not the audience the league was targeting.
From what I could see, Trump was shown exactly once during the broadcast. Ditto Taylor Swift, who presumably had a lot less to be happy about. Journalists assigned to cover Trump indicate he left at some point during the 3rd quarter. Lots of shots of the other celebrities on hand (Costner, McCartney, Gaga and an extended thank you/kowtow to Fox boss Rupert Murdoch) were used to kill time between plays.
As for the Canadian commercials, the Timmies spot was tongue-in-cheek, especially since their claim of being "Canadian" is ridiculous in light of their ownership by U.S.-based Restaurant Brands International. A few other U.S. firms (notably Kraft/Heinz) attempted to wave the Maple Leaf by portraying their Canadian factories and touting their Canadian ingredients. My award for the most annoying spot would have to go to Wealthsimple, which featured a pitchman who's tone veered from condescending to hostile ("Hey you, yeah you. Don't you wanna add some real zeros to your portfolio? Are you a complete idiot or something? Look at me when I'm talking to you!"). I won't say anything about the Ontario election ads from the Conservatives and Liberals, other than that there were far less of them than I expected.
Overall, the game harkened back to the Super Bowls I watched with my dad during the 70s and 80s, with one team (the Eagles) clearly dominating from the start and the announcers fighting to keep things interesting with talk of last-minute comebacks and "don't-count-them-out" cheerleading. I'd be interested in seeing post-halftime viewing numbers to see if there was a significant drop in the audience when it was clear Philadelphia had things locked up.
EDIT - Check out this Super Bowl ad that appeared in Quebec from the disaster cleanup and restoration company Qualinet.

Have to say I was disappointed that none of the radio newscasters I've heard on Monday have used any "Eagles" titles in their recaps.
You know like, "Eagles Take It To The Limit in New Orleans." Or "The Eagles Live Life In The Fast Line at the Super Bowl."
How about Don Adams saying "Sorry about that, Chiefs?"
I guess a lot of the younger demos wouldn't get the references, but it would make me laugh. But admittedly, that kind of radio probably sounds better in my head than it would on air!

“Sorry about that, Chiefs” gets my vote RA! Now, was 99 hot? I thought so, although I was a kid….!

I enjoyed the broadcast and this year watched much more than I normally would. I thought CTV did a good job with their commercial breaks and had enough new ads to keep the spot sets interesting. Since it was a live event, spot sets were usually shorter than normal. Surprised by the number of ads for Disney in the pre game and first quarter. CTV/TSN moved smoothly between the game and commercials and rarely clobbered the broadcast going in and out of commercials.
A huge amount of promo for Crave during the broadcast, and a bit for CTV. I did notice the patrotic flavour of some advertisers during the broadcast. Crave, Kraft, Home Hardware, Tim Horton's, NFL Canada, and Doritos played up the nationalistic aspect. Honourable mentions of new ads that were well done IMO were- Doritos (I won't aplogize), TD Investing, Nerds Gummy Clusters, Paramount+, Rogers Infinity with Keanu Reeves, Bell, Osmos Shawarma, Air Canada Aeroplan, Disney and RBC. Also ads for movies this summer which were too many to remember or list and even a few local Kitchener/Waterloo ads that managed to get in on the broadcast.
Half time show did nothing for me, but I am not the target age group it was designed for. Don't know anything about the artist other than he won a bunch of Grammy Awards last week and doesn't like Drake.
The show itself was a bit underwhelming and actually reminded me a bit of the Weeknds show a few years ago. The Weeknd's half time production and music was far better IMO.
The game itself was fine, one sided but entertaining overall. FOX did a good job with the production, commentary excellent camerawork and sound. I am not a huge football fan and tend to follow a bit of the playoffs and the final for both CFL and NFL. But I do enjoy watching the Grey Cup and Super Bowl almost every year.

On the FOX broadcast, Americans saw the Ontario trade commercial run in the break right before the Super Bowl Halftime show...

I tried to watch on Tubi. Too much buffering.
Interesting that you experienced that issue, because according to reports, Tubi suffered the least buffering issues of any of the online services carrying the game.
