He's known as Tootall, and he's been on the air for 40 years in La Belle Province. That ends at the end of September. These guys with radio longevity are becoming more and more rare, and there will be fewer of them as the decades fly by and the industry continues to change.
CHOM DJ Tootall to sign off after 40 years on Montreal radio

Growing up in Beaconsfield, on the West Island, we always tuned in to CHOM. The jocks switched from french to english seamlessly, played depth cuts from albums, Genesis and Supertramp were huge in Quebec... Each jock had a distinctive personality, every single one was a musicologist. Montreal had the best radio in the late 70's. What a career Tootall had. It'd be interesting to interview him, and ask him to name the songs he never wants to hear again, and ask him what he thinks about the business.

If it was truly his choice, it's amazing to see someone like that exit on his own terms. If it wasn't, the payout would be massive and the whole thing is well handled by both him and Bell.
