ACC's Algoma Compass has barely laid up in Owen Sound! Now they'll be shipping back out! 😁
(Why is it every year I have to recheck if it's shadow or no shadow that dictates the call? 🤔)

Soon, Canada's going to be as hot as delhi or dubai.
Now, we are more like budapest here in southern ontario.
And soon, florida will get snowstorms.

Instead, check snowfall or no snowfall.
The growndhog is mostly rong.
Last year, I don't remember a big snowfall so on may 24 we had a delhi or dubai like heetwave.
This year, we might get spring.

I know!
Canada's weather has changed drasticly from even when I was a little boy.
We might become like florida, India or the UAE, but more likely Florida or India.
Last year was hot and dry with hevvy rains mixxed in.
We did not get a real spring.
We went from winter to summer.

Having lived a large part of my life on the Bruce Peninsula, can say with some certainty, Wiarton Willie is a pathological liar.

The real question (for me at least) is "weather" or not to rewatch Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell in "Groundhog Day" today and then have that earworm hanging around for hours and hours because of the song he wakes up to over and over.

Personally I like the groundhogs.
Something silly to report in the dead of the dismal winter.
I covered Willie once, but not the year where the organizers covered up that he had died, and they used a stuffed groundhog to try to fool the public.
You can't make stuff like that up.
