Make rain not war

Thursday at 10am on 1010, newsman Stuart McGinn gave the forecast at the end of the news... "For Monday expect periods of flowers... er, I mean flurries or showers.  Stu, baby just stick with flowers... groovy baby.

John Moore was having troubles on Thursday during his show, too. At one point, he introduced the same newscaster, Stuart McGinn, as Stuart McGee. To be fair, he recognized his error and corrected it within 30 secs. But still - he intros the guy every single half hour for four hours every day. How does he get that wrong?

Methinks his resolve is dwindling with each passing day.

Re: Make rain not war

I used to enjoy listening to Moore, but in the last year or so he's getting increasingly repetitive and burned out sounding.
I can't really listen for more than a few minutes these days.  I just get the news and weather mainly.
I had hopes that Ben Mulroney would be a good alternative but  as time goes on he gets screachier and screachier. Ironic since his father was known for his deep sonorous voice.
As for afternoons we've got either hard right wing Toronto Sun news network escapee Alex Pierson or Still cashing in on her days with Mike Harris pundit Deb Hutton. Yeeach.
Then there's the snickering (Maple MAGA) apologist Oakely.
I find myself listening mainly to music in the car now... which isn't a bad thing, I just think it's too bad in this major radio market talk is so lame.
