Last week they went off the air during the afternoon drive show for three hours. On Tuesday, they stayed on air, but it sounded like they were in the middle of a hornet's nest. Ever since Andrew Lawton took over for Stafford in the morning, I've been hearing the most irritating buzz in the CFMJ signal that just won't stop.
At first I thought maybe it was the line from CFPL London that was plaguing Lawton's show. But unless Oakley is also doing his thing by remote (and I don't think that's it, since it's also on the spots) it appears to be something in the signal.
Whatever it is, either no one there has noticed it in their live (not studio) feed or they haven't been able to fix it. In any event, that's two weeks in a row of relatively serious technical glitches.
As a listener, it's really annoying. And in this case, I wish AM 640 would quite literally "buzz off."

Clear as a bell here north of Steeles & south of Seven. A GREAT day for talk radio.

It's JJ's anti mosquito tone.
