Too bad Acosta is leaving, I thought he was pretty good as the White House reporter too prior to anchoring. I’m sure he’ll get picked up fairly soon though, just don’t go to Fox!

My guess is MSNBC. But could he join the new CBS Evening News?

Re: CNN To Lay Off Hundreds Of Staff This Week

His departure had been rumoured for the past couple of weeks.
Nothing screams "get the fuck out of here" like offering someone the midnight time slot.

Perhaps Mr. Acosta can start a podcast with his old CNN workmate Don Lemon or what about getting a regular chair on The View?

Good riddance

Re: CNN To Lay Off Hundreds Of Staff This Week

Acosta officially left the network with some last words for viewers and he didn't mince words.

"One final message: Don't give in to the lies. Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth, and to hope."

No word yet on where he might show up next.

Jim Acosta leaves CNN, signing off with rallying message: 'It is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant'

Always liked Jim, he was straightforward, serious and not as opinionated as some others.  He was one of the few news people that actually stood up to the Pres. and made him answer real questions.  Naturally the commander in chief didn't like this and called him and CNN every name in the book. Wish there were more news people like Jim Acosta, that ask the harder questions and don't take fluff for an answer.  Sadly there are not many it seems.

Acosta has revealed his next career move, and like so many former broadcasters, it will be on the Internet.

"He will be hosting his own series, The Jim Acosta Show, through Substack. There, he will discuss the day's news and politics, keeping fans up-to-date with the same kind of coverage they've come to expect."
