CTV News revamps its website

It looks like CTV News updated their website today with a new interface. If you go to for example CTV News Toronto instead of toronto.ctvnews.ca the new URL is www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/  It works with Barrie, London, Windsor, Kitchener and other cities.
I wonder if they will update the on screen graphics for the local newscasts. The on screen graphics on the newscasts are at least 10 years old. It would be nice to have them at least update the on screen graphics like what they did to the NewsChannel as well. I did not trytheir videoplayer yet but I hope they fixed their videoplayer because it had a lot of bugs/glitches and not playing all the time with an error symbol.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

Sad that they did not include Wingham as a subheading under London. They still have 1 reporter there that is really good at getting around Meta rules.  Is this a sign for more staff reductions, I sure hope not.

Good to know! That should be standard practice by now.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

It looks like they have done away with the OTA tune in information. It is missing for Barrie and Northern Ontario.

Rogers is very bad at it.
Using Jaws on the city plus website was hard

Re: CTV News revamps its website

Second day using the new interface. It's not that bad but there is still some improvements to be done to the London site like add the 'Live Feed' in which other local sites like Toronto, Barrie, Kitchener, Windsor and other cities have. Also I noticed that they got rid of the Listen Live radio section where you could listen to stations like Virgin Radio, Pure Country and Bounce Radio etc.

Scott Miller is based out of Wingham where CKNX used to be. He covers all of Midwestern Ontario like Huron, Perth, Grey, Bruce and Wellington Counties. I wish they had a 'Midwestern Ontario' section for London too. Just like CTV Kitchener has a Guelph section for Guelph news. I do notice that Scott Miller's stories also airs on CTV Kitchener sometimes as well.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

I wish they had a scarborough, north york and etobicok section.
Also, a durham section for Toronto.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

They are missing CTV Vancouver Island on the main menu; you have to go through the Vancouver page to find it.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

Try entering the URL at isitdownrightnow.com. That should tell you if it's everyone or for some reason, just you.

Have you tried forcing a reload Shift-F5 or on a Mac CTRL-R I believe
You could try clearing your cache and cookies for anything CTV related

Because the URL's have changed what is cached on your computer might be causing issues.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

Thanks for all the tips and tricks. The site is working fine now although there could be some outdated links that need to be fixed on the new interface. But other than that everything is working fine now.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

LOSat - The URLs for CTV sites did not change. I'm talking about articles in the websites.
By the way, clearing your cache and cookies has nothing to do with this issue. All that does is to essentially erase temporary data stored by websites you've visited, which means you'll need to re-login to sites.

Re: CTV News revamps its website

Actually the URLS for the local CTV sites did change from
london.ctvnews.ca to ctvnews.ca/london/
