Audacy has been selling property and non core stations but in the first quarter of 2023 still lost about $36 million. The company has $2 billion in debt, however no payments are due in 2023. A big payment comes due in November 2024 of $632 million. Some analysts are questioning if the company will be able to make this payment if it continues to lose money.
Audacy has 10 days to appeal the delisting proceedings by the NYSE. When trading was suddenly halted yesterday afternoon, Audacy stock was trading at just over 9 cents per share. The company was warned back in July 2022 by the NYSE that it was in danger of being pulled from the stock listings.
