T.O. Star & Globe & Mail Both Drop "Dilbert" Over Racism Controversy

It's been happening at a lightning pace ever since Dilbert creator Scott Adams made some dumb racist comments over the weekend, that has resulted in the popular strip being dropped by dozens of newspapers in the U.S. And now the controversy has reached Canada, with both the Toronto Star and the Globe & Mail confirming they will remove the long running comic from their pages, effective immediately.

It doesn't run in all the Post newspapers, but those that do print it have also decided not to use it anymore.

Canadian newspapers drop Dilbert comic over racist comments

On his Twitter feed, a defiant Adams insists he will take the cartoon private and put it up on a subscription-based website for those who still want to read it.

I was never able to get the humour in the cartoon anyway.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Well, at least racists will have somewhere to read his stuff. There's always that.

I think he should start a new strip: "How To Throw Your Career Away In 48 Hours Or Less."

He could base it on his own life.

Given his trajectory I wouldn't be surprised if he's lost much of his fortune on crypto.
