A Great Song About Old TV Titles

If you've never heard this, consider it a great way to go into your long weekend. It's by parodist Allan Sherman, who had a slew of classic comedy albums in the 1960s and is best known for "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah."

This song contains references to some of the best TV shows of the late 50s and early 60s. It's done to the tune of "Alouette" and if you've never heard it, it's worth all 3 minutes and 27 seconds.

It's brilliant and in fact, I think this should be the official version of this song! It's called "Al & Yetta," and it's all about what the titular duo watch on television. This was recorded in 1963, and of all the shows he mentions, only one is still on the air after all these years - Meet The Press. But any lyric that includes "Mr. Ed" can't be all bad.
