Veteran "F Troop" Actor Gives Up The Fort At 99

Sad to hear of the death of Larry Storch, one of those veteran character actors whose face you know instantly but whose name you can never quite remember. His biggest claim to fame was as Cpl. Agarn in the ABC TV series "F-Troop" in the mid-1960s, a show that would never be considered politically correct today and only lasted two seasons.

He was a frequent guest star in a host of other shows, including "Get Smart," "Love American Style" and "The Love Boat." He made it all the way to 99.

Larry Storch, zany Cpl. Agarn on TV’s ‘F Troop,’ dies at 99

I'm stunned by a) how unacceptable this theme would be today and b) how long it is.

Melody Patterson, who played Wrangler Jane, won the part shortly before her 16th birthday with the assistance of a forged birth certificate claiming she was 18.
