It's not often a job like this comes open - the CBC is seeking a host for its flagship "As It Happens" nightly show. This isn't a position for beginners - the job requires at least 5-10 years of experience, among other things, before they'll even consider you.

I'm assuming this follows the retirement of longtime host Carol Off, who was with the program for nearly 16 years, left in February and has seen a revolving door of guest hosts ever since. 

It's a longshot that you'll get this gig - I would imagine such a high profile job will get hundreds if not thousands of applicants. But if you want to try, here's how to apply. You have until April 19th.
