First U.S. Super Bowl Ads Released - Is This The Best They've Got?

I never watch the game but the ads do interest me on occasion. In my humble opinion, the ones featured in this article are certainly less than inspiring and not up to the usual multi-million dollar ad campaigns of years past.

I like a bunch of them.
Lays "Push it" is mentioned in the article. It's one of the many Super Bowl 2022 ads I happen to like.

In the Sam's Club ad Kevin Hart comes across as an arrogant condescending jerk. If the ad was meant to entice me to to shop there, major fail.

I had the exact same reaction. Unfunny and unpleasant and not Super Bowl worthy.

I thought the Deion Sanders yogurt commercial was ho hum until his mother's appearance at the end.
She made me laugh ... a lot.

One of the most disturbing [and rejected] Super Bowl ads was one done by Durex condoms in 2012. It starts with a bloodstained robber fleeing from a bank, then flashes back through key disturbing moments in his life. One scene features the man as a young child putting a cat in a microwave oven and standing back to watch the animal suffer. When the flashback arrives at the robber's conception, it reveals that his parents did not use any contreception. The video ends with an image of a condom on a black background with the caption " For Your Protection. And Ours"

A new one, featuring SNL's Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson, for Amazon's Alexa. At 1:30, it must have cost a fortune. This one, at least, is fun.

Jennifer Coolidge, Trevor Noah, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Nicholas Braun are in this one. It didn't really make me laugh, but I did appreciate the on air warnings at the bottom of the screen and the sped-up Shangri-La's excerpt.

Dr. Evil returns with this ad for GM.  The 90 second version premiered on The Today Show this morning.  The Super Bowl will have a 60 second cut.  Here is the full ad..https://www.yout-ube.com/watch?v=uEuEBT0TWQE
