Can anyone verify this?
Breaking! - Mercedes Stephenson, Ottawa Bureau Chief for Global News who is reporting directly on the Canadian federal election, is married to Dan Mader, the director of scripting and policy for Erin O’Toole, the leader of the Conservative Party vying to become Prime Minister.
If true it's got Brian Lilley of the Toronto Sun shagging Ontario Premier Doug Ford's press sec Ivana Yelich vibes written all over it.

They "have not been together for years", according to Stephenson.

reading these two posts is a reminder there's a whole other world, the rest of the iceberg, of general information and news that radio hosts have knowledge of, but never, or rarely discuss on-air for legal reasons probably.

Did a little more digging....apparently they did split up then get back together and split up again...it's been described as an 'on and off' relationship.
Either way if you're sleeping with a close political operative of any stripe and reporting on or writing about that party in the public sphere directly it doesn't pass the smell test in my book at all...
