Speaking Of The CRTC...

Here's something I'm betting few of us would have an issue with. The CRTC is soliciting opinions about whether Canada should have a three-digit anti-suicide and mental health hotline. It would be similar to 911 for fire, police and ambulance or 311, the city of Toronto's all-purpose line.

This seems like a no-brainer to me, except that such a line would need to be more local or provincial and there would be a cost attached to it. Ontario actually does have one already - 211, but it's not all that well publicized.

Not about broadcasting, per se, but I thought it was an interesting idea.

More here.

Great idea. What's there to discuss, just do it!

And that's the problem. It's been up and running for some time now but it's still not very well known.
