Documentary Turns Spotlight On 60s WLS DJ

It's rare that anyone makes a documentary about radio, let alone a specific DJ. But a director named Bradley Stull is putting together a film on Ron Riley, a famous jock who rode the airwaves during the heyday of WLS-AM in Chicago, including being intimately involved with the Beatles in the Windy City.

But it's also about the incredible explosion of music and culture in the 60s, as well.

I doubt it will ever make it to these parts, but you can watch a preview reel here if you'd like to see what it will look like.

I'd love to see someone do a doc on one of our own Toronto radio legends. John Donabie, anyone?

Re: Documentary Turns Spotlight On 60s WLS DJ

I remember the name Ron Riley. I am more familiar with Larry Lujack, Chuck Buell and Kris Eric Stevens who were the PM Drive and evening jocks when I listened to WLS in the late 60's/early 70's.
