The broadcasters taking part in Wednesday night's Raptor game on TSN won't have to "male" in it, because every participant involved with the program - from play-by-play, to analyst to sideline crew to pre and post-game - will all be women. It's a first for the network, with many there hoping it won't be the last.

There is definitely still a surprising lack of women in sports broadcasting, aside from anchoring (e.g. Sportsnet Central) and sometimes interviewing roles (e.g. Hazel Mae on the Blue Jays telecasts). Curling is probably one of the few sports (at least in Canada) where women are found in play-by-play roles regardless of whether it's mens' or womens' play.
