Could This Finally Mark The End Of USTVGo Or 123TVNow?

The sites mentioned in the subject line are already pretty much illegal, but now they could be facing some major penalties if they continue. This week, the U.S. government is expected to pass a bill offering relief for those suffering from COVID-related business losses. Included in the law for some reason - a provision that companies (and presumably, their executives) that choose to offer illegal streaming over their sites could face fines and even jail time.

From the Hollywood Reporter:

"If passed, illegal streaming of works including movies and music tracks could carry a penalty of up to 10 years in jail."

I know a lot of Canadians use these sites and depending on where those running them are located, it makes me wonder if we'll still be seeing them once this legislation passes. (Of course, this being the Internet, a new one is bound to pop up somewhere else, as the game of cat and mouse continues.)

The COVID-19 Stimulus Bill Would Make Illegal Streaming a Felony

Well I shall continue to enjoy these two sites as long as I can. They are extremely useful in avoiding simsub.
