FM voice

overheard John Moore this morning on 1010 (in a very affected animated manner):

"Plenty of sunshine today - not sure why I have to say that in the FM voice"

Do DJs affect a more frivolous tone on FM?

They're not DJ's. They're radio announcers.

In the radio business, for the music side, hitting a post means doing the weather in a unique voice that also gets everything in so perfectly that there is no talking over the lyrics.
