Trini Lopez R.I.P.

The first song I can remember hearing on the radio was "Lemon Tree" by Trini Lopez. CKEY played it. I can still remember hearing on our kitchen radio. Can anyone else remember the first song they can remember hearing?

Re: Trini Lopez R.I.P.

I think for most of us it would be almost impossible to remember something that would be so seemingly fleeting. But if pressed, I might have to go with "Runaway" by Del Shannon. I doubt it was my first song but something about it stands out in my increasingly addled mind, so I'll pick that one. Not a bad first tune, if that really was it.

Re: Trini Lopez R.I.P.

If I Had A Hammer is the first song I think of that I identify with Trini Lopez. As to one of the earliest songs I remember was  Perry Como's Catch A Falling Star [And "Pull" It in your pocket] I had difficulty with the word put.
