Production on the show shut down for a day (at least) as they see if a crew member has Covid-19...they are shooting the series in Newfoundland, where cases have been low to nil.
Production should resume shortly. It is good to see that production is happening anywhere these days and Newfoundland's economy sure can use the boost.
Here's more...

The dog is the star of the show, so it's a good thing he can't catch anything.

And a little trivia. I have the MHZ Choice streaming service which is all foreign stuff. Hudson and Rex is actually a Canadian remake of a German show called "Inspektor Rex." They even found a dog that is a dead ringer for the one (or ones) in the German show.

The Canadian dog is actually a distant relative to the original.

You see, that's the problem with showbiz today. Too much nepotism!

The original show was actually an Austrian production, that aired from 1994 - 2004.
The Canadian version is the 6th. international remake. The first was an Austrian-Italian co-production that went to air in 2008; followed by Russian, Polish, Lithuanian and Slovak series.

Sorry. I don't count the States. Just keep the borders locked up and animals can't catch anything...unless you have a proper Canadian source.
