Most people don't realise it, but curling's a better spectator sport than baseball.

...because the article is direct from TSN/Bell, and Bell won't say what it cost.

The cost will come out eventually. The CFL contract that Bell signed back in September was for $50 million per year, with increases depending on ratings.
Curling can draw decent ratings for the sports networks. I have seen numbers of over 1 million for tournaments.
