Some Old Jokes From An Old Radio Station Unheard For 4 Decades

It's been a rough week, what with the tragedy in Iran and tensions in the world.

So I thought everyone here who's in the mood could use a laugh. Which is why I put together some of the best jokes told by Michael Magee when he appeared as Fred. C. Dobbs with host Keith Rich on CKEY in the mid-1970s. (And I use the word 'best" advisedly.)

The gimmick was that Fred would supposedly call in and talk to Keith about current events in a bizarre conversation, then soften the ending with a joke.

Some are great. Some are just old and corny. But he was a talented joke teller and you may just laugh despite yourself.

Either way, it's worth a listen - these haven't been heard anywhere since they first aired on 'EY more than 40 years ago.

I didn't find any of the jokes funny.
