    U.S. Clears The Way For All Digital AM - Or A Hybrid Version

    If American stations are crazy enough to opt for completely turning off their analog signals, then they'll get what they deserve. Although they don't have to do it. 

    FCC Opens Proceeding for All-Digital AM Radio

    They're also being authorized to dual illuminate, with both a digital and analog signal (similar to HD on FM.) To see a list of stations that have applied click here and then click "Get Data."

    I sure recognized many of those call letters. The only station I could find close to the GTA was WHAM in Rochester.
