New Podcast Traces History Of Legendary Detroit Radio Station

It's an interesting idea for a podcast - a show retracing the history of WRIF, one of Detroit's longest rocking radio stations. The show features interviews with the people who were at the station and talks to the DJs and others that made the place run.

Not necessarily for everyone, but for those who lived in either Windsor or Motown, a nice memory flogger.

Re: New Podcast Traces History Of Legendary Detroit Radio Station

Before the 101.1 frequency became clogged with stations in Barrie and Ft. Erie, The "RIF" was sometimes available in the GTA on those extremely hot humid summer days. I particularly enjoyed Jim Johnson & The Morning Crew featuring Dick The Bruiser. They even sent me one of their D.R.E.A.D. cards. Detroit Rockers Engaged In the Abolition of Disco. The Saturday Night Cleaver was a nice touch.
