Bill Nye the science guy who taught kids about science and how things work, goes pretty well ape shit on the older adults he once taught on T.V. and doesn't sugar coat that the Planet is on Fire...on the John Oliver Show...

He isn't backing down like some of our Provinces about a Carbon Tax or the severity of the situation vis-a-vis global warming and weather shifts...
What is your take on this? Do you shake off your media image for an issue he is deeply passionate about? Does he lose his credibility with this? Or does taking a stance establish him in a more select group or demographic?

i watched the entire oliver episode, including his long bit about climate change. what nye did/said was the climax of oliver's ever increasing indignation about politics and climate. in fact, oliver briefly encapsulated our own federal gov't struggle to implement some kind of regulation.
nye probably relished the opportunity to vent on idiots using real language.
