CFLY 98.3 and CBCK 107.5 Kingston, Ontario are both about 100KW at 500 feet, 220 miles away from me. It seems like I have "constant" tropo scatter from them the last few months.

The fade ups will come out of nowhere and last 5-15 seconds usually, but sometimes a bit longer. It happens in the morning, at night.. I haven't noticed a time when it isn't happening. I suspect My height, the fact the frequencies are pretty empty here and that the transmitter sites are close to water make this possible. Here's a few recent audio clips of CBCK 107.5 and CFLY 98.3

CFLY Clip #2 (1 minute 53 seconds long!):
CBCK Clip #1 (38 seconds long):

I have quite a bit of tape from WRIF and some from WWWW that I will post to the site at some point. Also WCZY I think. ( were they the ones that were known as The Detrot Wheels or something like that ?). Not quite as interesting as the WKNR FM or AM that I have already posted and will continue to.

"Detroit's New Wheels" was the branding for AOR WLLZ from 1980-96. The station currently has a Top 40 format as WDZH 98.7AMP RADIO.

You are correct that's the one. Again I will say that the AOR stuff is not as interesting as the more experimental formats but nice to have and hear from a historical perspective.
