Kelly Hrudey says his Sportsnet contract will not be renewed
It's never easy no matter how you phrase it. Fired. Let go.
I watched the video and Kelly is handling this major career change with grace and gratitude. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next.

It is unfortunate but he had a good run, 30 years, not bad! I think there will be more higher profile layoffs at Sportsnet yet, they have to trim their budgets with all their new MLSE/NHL debt, $15.36B in total, doubt they can handle it as things stand.

The one guy they can't unload is Elliot Friedman. He is to the NHL as Ian Rapaport is to the NFL.
