Nice radio Frosty, what's the make and did you use an external antenna ?
I may have seen some You Tube clips about it, I presume it has short wave.
Was certainly a wild radio weekend. I heard quite a bit more than the clips I posted and I am saving the tapes for posterity.

That looks like a TEF.
Maybe a DP-666 Deepelec?
That's what I'm now using. .

Frosty: Change the RDS setting to US and you'll get US calls in the ID. Also watch for 'fake' calls and PI codes that don't always match. The RDS is easily triggered but not always 100% reliable or straightforward. It's always good to have at least two pieces of evidence when logging a new station.

I think you are right. Do you use an external antenna and will a regular coax antenna output work or do you need an adapter . Quite a nice colorful display.

I use an Arrow FM antenna with coax and a connector whose name/specs I do not know offhand. I will look into these when I have a moment.

That's the radio. The run about $120 on Amazon now. When I purchased mine, it was $89, so the price has gone up.
And thanks for the heads up on the RDS. I made the change. When catching a skip, I always verify by listening to the online stream.
And the adapter from the Coaxial to the radio is PL-259 connector I believe. I use a Yagi FM Antenna.

The higher humidities and temperatures are coming back next week. The oppor-"tune"-ites should return in a bigger way then.

A couple of catches this morning, but good ones. Window was not open long.
Q105 Tampa Bay (104.7)
Rumba 100.3 Orlando
I caught that opening but in Pickering it lasted until about 1230, Florida orientated.. Then I had to leave the house around 1 but when I came back at around 5 there was another opening . This time I caught Oklahoma, Nebraska and some other midwest states. Had to leave again by 7 again but when I came back around 9 it was still on but has now gone.
Tropo and E Skp is also enhanced by temp swings that create an inversion ot warm and cold air and there may have been some of that today.
What a crazy week !
