I always enjoyed watching him on TV. After being let go from CHCH I believe he got a job doing the morning news with Bayshore Radio ( CFOS) in Owen Sound until he retired.

In looking at all the tributes to Mr. McLean I noticed no mention of his time spent at 980 CFPL radio in London
For several years he was the evening dj in early 1970's
That's when he started doing voice over/commercial work for CHCH

I remember seeing a photo of him walking across the CHCH parking lot after being let go in 2008. It actually moved me as he was by himself, sad for a guy who had worked there so long and was kind of the face of the station. RIP Mr.McLean.
