That is a RadioActive worthy subject line.

Entirely likely that CFRB will be carrying this over tomorrow unless they read this post.
And if they do: Suck sea lion shit, filthy censorship whores.

Just when you thought their news ticker couldn't get any worse, and yet it's probably the most looked-at part of the screen

I know a picture is supposedly worth a thousand words but I don't see what's egregious here...those ticker items all read as correct and informative...

LOL - I see it now, I thought the issue was with the topicality of the headlines, not the grammar/spelling so I scanned them rather than inspected them. I did notice the "thru" and took it to be a space saver, even though it's incorrect. It's also amazing what your brain will fill in to complete a message.
For what it's worth (on the internet, not very much; even less so here), I probably spell better than most - let's play Scrabble some time. I generally don't advertise my abilities but I do appreciate the snarky retort.

Agreed. Editors were the among first salary dumps, IMO.

"THRU" is tolerated if it's true that they are restricted to no more than 3 lines max for the updates.
I'd rather see Thru than see Wknd to make it all fit...

Not that this many in a row are excusable on CP24, but I well remember one of the writers at our TV station typing out a recap story about the Leafs vs. Rangers for our website. In trying to vary his word choice, he accidentally typoed that the Buds played The Blue "Shits."
And it stayed that way for a few hours, until someone noticed it. So I know how easy it can happen. In my experience, it's really hard to proof read your own stuff. An extra set of eyes is helpful, but we didn't have the budget for that!

I'd put "thru" and "'til" on that same list of tolerated abbreviations for spacing.
Hindsight being what it is, "all weekend" would've worked just fine in this case.
Online!

I doubt I would enjoy playing Scrabble with you. I might do better against Homer Simpson. "Dog" "Cat" "The"

Lol, thanks for the kind words, mace. Now I wonder if D'oh is in the Scrabble dictionary.
