It was also a half-assed going-through-the-motions finale.
Lol, so was Oakley's.
But on the larger point of show podcasts - if there is no point to posting the finale, then shouldn't all episodes be taken offline and essentially disappeared?
Takes time to do that for no reward

If there is a reward to leaving an extinct show available, then post the finale.
Is there no such thing as a backend "hide channel/playlist" option?

It's been surprisingly quiet on the "next steps" of John Oakley's life and career since his 640 show wound down in late November 2025. I hadn't found any active social media and thought he might have wanted to plan out his next chapter and take some time to decompress.
Turns out he's got an active claim against Corus in the Ontario courts as noted during a search of the Ontario Courts Public Portal. In the Employment and Labour Law category and John Oakley himself as well as his J.O. Productions Inc. registered business as plaintiffs. It was filed in late March 2026 and the latest activity was earlier in June 2026.
Information is limited on the portal and reproducing it as a screenshot or copy-and-paste contents of it is prohibited (the link TO it above is fine), but these things can be either minor or major. Minor in terms of unpaid wages (i.e. vacation pay) or more major in terms of wrongful dismissal, breach of contract, lack of appropriate notice period in which to find alternate employment, etc.
Who knows in Oakley's case but we no doubt wish him a speedy resolution to whatever woes he's having with Corus in this moment.

Corus spends a lot of time in court.
