I was doing my FM and HD bandscan yesterday night, And Guess What I heard for all you scrooges.
CHFI and 99.9hd4 have both swiched to all Christmas.
If you gave me the Choice, I would pick 99.9's mix because it has slitely more older music.
Its not Christmas without the classics and some of the traditional hymns.

You'd think it would be a Friday, so they could promote for the weekend and beyond. Wednesday? An even odder choice, but your Nov. 11th theory could be correct.

Monday and Friday are lower listening days. Going at 8:30 on a Wednesday gives you the most possible ears. Also, people will talk about it when they get to work

i have never listened to CHFI. Now that it's Holiday Hits, 24/7, I have no reason to start listening now.

I find it a little too early for Christmas Music. I’m glad the stations near me like Fresh 103.1 and CHYM 96.7 have not made the switch yet. But if they do. I remove them from my presets untill they switch back to regular music.

It's started in stores too. I just got back from the local Metro to restock the house after a trip and they had Christmas music playing, serenading me while I looked at a box of frozen shrimp that was the subject of shrinkflation.
Shrinkflation and wall to wall Christmas music. These are not a few of my favourite things.

Ironically, the new owner should be playing (Christian) Christmas music if they have not started to do so already...

They only do it on weekends in December.
