I would come home from school and immediately turn on channel 11 to watch Billy Van and Freightenstein at 4pm. Loved the segments with the the wolf and igor dancing to top 40 music with video feedback. Here is a website with a bunch of info on this chch classic. RIP Riff Markowitz.

After reading that piece, it seems that CHCH was also an inspiration for SCTV along with City TV and CBC.
Thanks for posting RA....Riff Markowitz certainly had a full and exciting life.
