Oh for the love of…

Mushrooms! Everyone loves mushrooms, right? In fact, people in Latvia love them so much that one of the national networks has a whole program devoted to the people’s favourite fungus:

But is this show the cremini of the crop?

Re: Oh for the love of…

You’re right on the button with your observation Binson. Clearly the world is your oyster, unlike some of the shiitake posters on this forum.

Bowmanville Bob.
Why so angry at other posters on this board, calling them shitake?
You should try to be more of a fun guy.

I am a fun guy. In fact, when it comes to mushrooms, my motto is “the morel the merrier”.

Re: Oh for the love of…

Re: Oh for the love of…

And here's the Canadian connection.
Money's mushroom company of Vancouver had the intellectual pun to describe their product.
It was "What food these morsels be."
This was a pun on Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
The fairy, Puck makes fun of the characters in the play, stating "Lord what fools these mortals be.
Nowadays I doubt you would find an ad slogan making a pun on a line from a Shakespeare play.
How I long for the days when the media used word play based on higher education and wit.

I, on the other hand, hate mushrooms whether in a soup or salad or on a pizza.

I’m on team Mace. My family knows if they’re making something with mushrooms, they should either chop them small enough that I can’t tell, or big enough that I can pick them out 😄 My husband doesn’t mind that because I give him any mushrooms that I find in my food, and he’s more thsn happy to eat them.

Re: Oh for the love of…

Better be careful when eating mushrooms ....Australian woman convicted of murdering relatives by feeding them toxic mushrooms.
