CHCH ran a 15 second commercial leading to an announcement on Friday. It's most likely Tim Bolen's replacement on Morning Live, but I'm not sure what the Tiger-Cats gear is all about.
You see a phone next to a microphone, Ticats jersey and helmet, then a hand on a counter-top next to a cup of coffee.
So I was thinking maybe CHCH was going to sponsor Hamilton Stadium, the home of the Ticats. It was called Tim Hortons Field, but that deal has ended and now just has a generic name.
But more likely, it's Tim's replacement. I've been thinking either weekend news anchor Adam Atkinson or reporter/podcaster Louie Butko would get the job. With the mic seen, it's like a podcast mic, and Louie was the weekend sports anchor before becoming the station's podcaster.
Then thinking outside the box, maybe it's former CHML host Rick Zamperin. He hosted the Ticats post-game show, The Fifth Quarter before CHML was closed down. So you have the radio mic, and Ticats link. And he has been a guest on the Sportsline podcast several times, so he knows people in the building. And we was CHML's morning show host.
All will be revealed this Friday at 8:40AM.

As a regular watcher, Adam is the only on air personality that wears "non-solid" colours (if that picture is an actual Easter Egg, but that former radio host does make sense. =12pxLouie Butko would be my choice, reminds me of Bob Cowan.

9:15AM. Still no announcement.
It's not Friday.
Saw this on Rick Zamperin's LinkedIn a couple of days ago:
tl;dw version: Rick is joining the Ti-Cats as the PxP announcer for this upcoming season. The 5th Quarter will also migrate to the Ti-Cats Audio Network.
Super stoked for Rick, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
