It feels as if someone just left CityNews channel running ON CITY TV and turned out the lights.
No clock, traffic has no traffic, then a long pause with a view of the city.
Many errors.
I'm guessing something went wrong with power supply or anything else that would normally allow a proper newscast to air.
PLUS ALSO they accidentally aired weather for Vancouver in the first hour, but only once.
Glad they fixed that mistake...at least.

The 11PM City TV newscast started off okay, but then it just fell apart, so I switched over to CTV Toronto. Good to see Bell cares more about how to run a newscast properly. (or properly enough)

There are sometimes mistakes with CFTO’s newscasts or any other newscast.

Keep in mind that they just moved in to a new building, and they're probably running on a lot of automation ie) less people than previously. There's probably still a lot of things to iron out.

I know they just moved into their new location, two weeks ago!! More than enough time to work out bugs, etc. that should have been worked out by now. Pretty pathetic.

Why is it that you link to them in your signature?

Global News on Thursday for their 6pm newscast re-ran their 5pm to 5:30pm newscast instead (it was obvious given the announcer even said "You're watching Global News at 5" at 6:27pm as it went to commercial break)
CTV Toronto has had constant teleprompter problems since last year, which is easy to notice when the anchors suddenly break from talking to scramble for their sheets or try to complete the narrative on the fly from memory. They introduced the wrong segment last week, then once that story ended Natalie Johnson had to state "And now here's the story we promised you..."
This sort of thing is happening with increasing frequency these days. It's not just CityTV for sure. If anything I think they've had the fewest problems compared to CTV and Global.

Intermittently interspersed with the screen being half snow and half blank - and no audio!

Back in the analog days, I would have been ecstatic if I could have received the Rochester stations on a regular basis with that quality.
