I know Jim Richards is an acquired taste for some or many on this board. But I enjoyed his bit today on CFRB as he fact-checked various Donald Trump statements on Canada. I don't know if he gave credit to CNN's Daniel Dale, but he was clearly using Dale's piece this week which rebuts nine Trump lies about Canada. It was particularly funny to hear Richards repeatedly run clips of 3 immortal Canadian expressions -- "A hard no," "Take off, hoser" and "Fuddle duddle, or something like that."

How long before the MAGAs begin hurling death threats at Jimberly for fact-checking Donnie?

By contrast Agar played clips of himself being interviewed on a Chicago radio station on Wednesday.
In his appearance he readily played clips of himself telling the Chicago radio host how he (Agar) would have voted for Trump if he were an American, praised Trump for just about everything he's done in his new term, except for punishing Canada with tariffs.
He also agreed with the Chicago host that Justin Trudeau is a "putz" -- a Yiddish slang for a dick, and also called Trudeau's entire Liberal government years a "disaster."
Perhaps 1010 can set up a debate between Richards and Agar regarding their differing views on Trump.

Gee, I wonder why RB’s a 1 share. Real mystery.

The late Mike Bullard when he was on at noon on CFRB would do the cross over with Jerry. It sometimes sounded as if they didn't like each other. Bullard clearly didn't like Jerry's politics. I heard them a few times get pretty heated and Bullard would usually end up laughing at Agar. I remember once Mike teasing Jerry about all of the soft ball questions he asked Stephen Harper during an interview earlier in the day. Jerry denied the accusation and then Bullard said, "well at least you took down all of the Stephen Harper campaign posters in your office before the interview."

I'm very happy I missed that. Typical Agar.

I just checked, and Moore has a 2.3 share, and Agar has a 0.3. That poisons the rest of the day.
There's a liability on the air and nothing's being done about it because nobody's paying attention.

I'm sitting here imagining who that 0.3 is.

probably why they cut his show down from 3 hours to two.
It's like they hope nobody from 10 am until noon will notice, and they can shuffle him off as fast as possible.
But dropping from John Moore's 2.3 share to 0.3 is very noticeable.

Where did you retrieve these numbers? I would love to see morning drive numbers for CHUM FM, BOOM, CHFI, CKFM etc. Haven't seen this type of information since Gary Dunford's page six column in the Toronto Sun.

If true, then someone please explain how Agar recieved a ratings performance bonus. He recently mentioned it on-air in the context of income tax deductions.

Assuming he's not just lying, his bonus would be based on some narrow demographic. The numbers I posted were overall adults. He probably still does decently men 60+, but chases away most everyone else.

Agar said he went to HR with his concern. So maybe they're in on the lie too.

Ha! Someone who's been doing it as long as him not understanding how bonuses are taxed? Doubtful. Makes for a nice anti-tax rant though. It's all theatre.

The timing of the Chicago interview and the views he expressed + HR mention would lead a cynic to believe Mr. Agar is moving his chess pieces into place....
