The Blue Jays are south now and next weeks game is on TV

Hard to fathom baseball here in Ontario as you look outside. However, in Dunedin the team is there and Spring Training has begun as position players are arriving now to keep the Pitchers and Catchers company.

The game next week against the Yankees is on TV at 1 pm, Saturday. It will be nice to see warmer climates and baseball again.

No word about any broadcasting personnel changes, however, these days it most likely change ahead of Opening Day.

Here is the current broadcast crew.

As a baseball fan I would not want to play baseball in the snow. I do remember up in the twin cities a couple of MLB games up there had to be postponed due to snow.

But what would playing baseball in the snow look like?

74-88 and in the basement last season. Optomistically 81-81 this season. Post season? Nope.

Let's hope Schulman sticks to reporting just what's happening on the diamond and refrains from his constant extemporaneous commentary that makes it hard to listen.  Just the game Dan puuleese!

They haven't made too many off-season changes (adding a 40-year old Max Scherzer whose best days are long behind him will not help). But as long as there are bums in the seats, the bums on the field won't matter, right Rogers?

Problem is Jays fans only show up when the team is winning. Once the chance of making the playoffs dwindles to a flicker of a chance, attendance will nosedive.
