The Main Ingredient didn't have a lot of hits - "Everybody Plays The Fool" and "I Just Don't Want To Be Lonely" became staples of oldies radio stations - but their main ingredient is now gone forever, with the discovery of the body of Cuba Gooding Sr. The group's former lead singer, whose actor son had eclipsed him in fame and success, was found lifeless in a car in L.A.
Early evidence suggests a drug overdose may be the cause.
