CHFI still playing Christmas music

As of 1 o'clock this afternoon, CHFI was still playing wall-to-wall Christmas music. I believe this is longest they've extended the all-Xmas thing after December 25. I guess they figure it gets ratings, so what the heck, I wonder when it will end?

Re: CHFI still playing Christmas music

I'd rather hear Christmas music for a few days after Christmas, than six weeks before. But wall to wall seems a little excessive.

Social media posts have suggested that for two years past, their Christmas music ended end-of-day December 30 as they cleared the way for New Year's Eve specials on December 31. So maybe this is the last day.

CHYM 96.7 in K/W is now back to playing it’s AC format. 103.1 Fresh in London is now back to it’s Hot AC format as well.

SXM have dumped all of their Christmas channels. But in the car today I was listening to the Escape Channel. They still have some Christmas music in the mix.

What about one of the Stingray Music channels did they stop playing Christmas music?

Depends.
What source is Jollibee using for their restaurants. (Wilson subway location specific)
I was just there yesterday and Christmas music was still playing in the background..."Santa Claus is coming to town..." of all songs.

I feel sorry for the employees who STILL have to put up with the Holiday Hits from Hell after December 25th.

Re: CHFI still playing Christmas music

I think end of day Boxing Day is a good time to stop playing festive tunes, as many have an extended Christmas with large families etc.

Re: CHFI still playing Christmas music

Christmas is over at Midnight on the 25th of December. Don't want to hear any Christmas Music or watch any Christmas themed shows after that.
On that note...Happy New Year to All on the Board !

Religiously yes. Commercially No.  Summer offically ends on September 21st. Realistically, Labour Day is the end. Like RadioAaron, I am done with Christmas on December 26th.

Re: CHFI still playing Christmas music

Technicalities aside, CHFI had a 20+ share on Sunday.

Maybe it's OK for people to like things we don't like.

Re: CHFI still playing Christmas music

To me, Dec 25 and Jan 1 are bookends to a week-long holiday. My Christmas spirit begins about Dec 22 and ends on Jan 1.
